Chrysler Fills over 1,000 Jobs at Toledo Jeep Assembly Plant

Earlier this month, Chrysler opened 1,105 positions in its Toledo Assembly plant in Ohio. If you recall last year, it took only 36 hours to fill job positions. We noticed a similar--actually, more drastic--trend this year; it only took a few hours for all 1,105 job openings to fill up.

Due to a growing factory, Chrysler decided it was wise to expand their team at the location. Additionally, the factory added new tools to build the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee which will be replacing the current Jeep Liberty; the plant will eventually need new factory workers.

Working at the plant requires someone who is passionate, smart, and committed to excellence. The application process was all online via ChryslerCareers.com under the Production-Warehouse Jobs section. Although the positions have already been filled, Slingerland Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM is fairly certain that the company will continue to grow and need fresh new minds.

"You have to be somebody who can participate in the World Class Manufacturing process by being a part of the improving the processes, making sure every vehicle comes off the line with the highest quality. It's a different kind of job than it used to be," says Jodi Tinson, Chrysler spokesman.1

The Toledo Assembly Complex is one of the best scoring factories in productivity and waste reduction, and it's been producing Jeep models since the 1940's.
