Chrysler Investing Right Here in Michigan

With the automotive industry back on track, demand is high for quality parts and accessories.  At Slingerland Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM we are happy to report that right here in our home state the demand is creating jobs.

Chrysler factories two hours south of our showroom in Corunna, Michigan are being expanded in the coming months to aid in the production of the Tigershark engine.  With $53 million being allocated to two factories 298 jobs will be created.

These factories, located in Trenton and Dundee, will be producing more Tigershark engines for vehicles like the Dodge Dart and the forthcoming Jeep Cherokee.  In Trenton an assembly line will be added, while in Dundee an entire line will be changed over to produce machine cranks, heads and blocks which will then be used over in Trenton in the overall production of the Tigershark.

With $11.5 million going to Trenton, this will join the $114 million that was already distributed a few years back for the production of the V6 Pentastar engine.  As for the Dundee factory, a sum of $40.5 million will go towards the renovations happening there.

The increased production in engines will show here at our dealership, serving the Owosso region, as these engines will be available in the 2014 models that join the new Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM inventory we already have in house.  Please stop by our showroom where our dedicated staff can answer any questions you have regarding our fantastic vehicles, and keep in the loop with the latest news here on our blog.
